The Dependents Educational Assistance Program (DEAP) is an annual educational grant awarded to deserving dependents of active PNP (Philippine National Police) personnel who exhibit academic excellence. - College: ₱30,000 per school year
- Junior and Senior High School: ₱20,000 per school year
- Elementary: ₱15,000 per school year
Target Beneficiaries
Here’s the list of target beneficiaries for the PNP DEAP:
- Dependents of active PNP personnel who are declared legal beneficiaries
- Dependents who have received an Academic Excellence Award (Grades 2 to 12 or college level)
- Dependents of Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), prioritized by rank
- Dependents of Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUPs), prioritized by salary grade
- Dependents of Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) with the ranks of Police Lieutenant to Police Lieutenant Colonel, in order of priority (PLT to PLTCOL)

Who Can Apply
To be eligible, the dependent must:
- Be the declared legal beneficiary of an active PNP personnel
- Have received an Academic Excellence Award
- Be enrolled in Grades 2 to 12 or in college
- Not be a recipient of any other government or non-government scholarship
- Have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85%
- Belong to a family where the PNP member has at least 5 years remaining in service

Before applying, you need to prepare the following documents:
For New Applicants
- Completed DEAP application form (from the PNP e-BASA portal)
- Endorsement from Chief of Office
- Certificate of declared legal beneficiary/ies (from DPRM)
- Certificate of duty status and non-pending case
- Authenticated latest IPER (two ratings)
- Certificate of no existing scholarship grant
- Two copies of recent 2×2 photos (PNP personnel and dependent)
- Academic documents:
- Grades 2–12: Form 138 and diploma
- College: Report of rating
- Certificate of Academic Excellence Award
- Proof of enrollment (original or authenticated)
- Landbank ATM card photocopy (upon grant approval)
- PEAB resolution (PRO/NSU Educational Assistance Board)
For Renewal of Existing Grantees
- Endorsement from your unit
- Latest grades with GWA
- Proof of enrollment
- Certificate of good moral character
- Latest PER (two ratings)
Note: Submit all renewal documents within 30 days after the school year ends to avoid disqualification.
How to Submit Your DEAP Application
To apply, simply follow these steps:
For New Applicants:
Step 1. Prepare all required documents and submit them to your unit Admin User.
Step 2. Admin Users verify your service record and determine eligibility.
Step 3. Documents are uploaded to the PNP e-BASA portal.
Step 4. PRO/NSU Admin users validate and rank applications.
Step 5. Validated applications are forwarded to the PEAB Secretariat.
Step 6. Final evaluation and deliberation occur within 20 working days.
Step 7. Approved grantees are notified to open a Landbank account.
Step 8. Disbursement is processed via Landbank.
For Renewals:
Step 1. Submit complete renewal documents to your unit Admin User.
Step 2. Admin User screens, evaluates, and uploads documents to PNP e-BASA.
Step 3. PRO/NSU Admin validates within 5 days.
Step 4. PEAB Secretariat does final review and schedules deliberation.
Step 5. Approved grantees receive the grant via Landbank account.
Application Criteria and Evaluation
Applicants are rated using a point system based on:
- Salary Grade/Rank – 50%
- General Weighted Average (GWA) – 30%
- Number of Dependents – 10%
- Socioeconomic Status – 10%
Priority is given to:
- Dependents of Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs)
- Dependents of Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUPs) based on SG
- Dependents of Commissioned Officers (PLT to PLTCOL)
Disqualification and Termination Grounds
The grant may be discontinued if:
- The PNP personnel retires or is dismissed
- The grantee transfers schools without approval
- The grantee is expelled or fails to maintain a GWA of 85%
- There’s an existing scholarship grant from another agency
- Required documents are not submitted within 30 days after the school year ends
