The foundation pioneered educational initiatives through multimedia in 1994 and launched Bantay Bata 163 in 1997 to protect disadvantaged children. In the late 1990s, AFI expanded its focus to environmental advocacy, creating Bantay Kalikasan and initiating the Save the La Mesa Watershed campaign. In the early 2000s, the foundation also launched Sagip Kapamilya for disaster relief and Kapit Bisig Para Sa Ilog Pasig for river rehabilitation. Over the years, AFI has continued to evolve, later becoming ALKFI, and responding to major crises like Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, all while maintaining its commitment to public service and sustainable development.
